Job Qualification Requirements:
• Must have at least 12 months of continuous work experience as a butcher or meat cutter in a store or market setting.
• Minimum of 12 months of work experience using commercial butchering tools, including boning knives, cleavers, grinders, and meat saws, in a professional setting
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards, and possession of a valid health certificate issued by the CNMI Saipan Health Clinics or an equivalent recognized authority
• Ability to pack and prepare vegetables for sale and ensure they meet store standards.
• Able to effectively communicate with store management and team members, preferably in both English and Chinese
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision in cutting and preparing meat.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to assist with general store tasks, including cleaning, stocking, and packing vegetables when the butcher department is less busy.

Ocean Star Corporation is seeking 2 temporary, full-time butchers and meat cutters for an anticipated employment period from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026.

Wage Information:
• Basic Wage Rate Paid: $8.63 per hour
• Overtime Wage Rate Paid: $12.95 per hour (time and a half) for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week.
The employer will offer 35 hours of work per week.
Other Material Terms and Conditions of the Job Offer:
Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any.
Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
